Can a 2007 Honda CRV tow a dune buggy? - two bit tow san diego
I have a 2007 CRV and I drag a buggy 250cc. This is a two-seater, and weighing about 800 pounds, is only slightly larger than an ATV. The trailer weighs about 400 kg and a maximum towing CRV is 1500 pounds. Is that too much stress on the engine or train.

If it is rated for 1500 pounds, you should be good ... but that's cutting close. There is much pressure for a small engine 4 cyl. Expect to see 0 to 60 times in minutes, not seconds.
